Arjay was founded in 1974 as a fiberglass parts supplier for major boat builders. Its success in this competitive arena was based on developing and applying innovative materials and processes to reduce cost, raise quality and increase output. For example, in 1979 Arjay developed a process for spraying filled polyester to replace plywood cores. Over the years, Arjay produced over 10,000 parts, mainly hulls and decks, using its innovative methods and materials.

In 1994 Arjay ceased parts production to develop and market a line of filled polyesters known as Arjay Performance Products. Arjay's 30 years worth of hands on knowledge of boat construction and materials technology has led to the development of a full line of products for the fiberglass industry. Arjay's products are designed and manufactured by individuals who understand the unique challenges of composites fabrication.
